The Centre
This gorgeous not-for-profit service located in the Lake Macquarie area is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director to join and co-lead their supportive and welcoming team. Where indoors meets interaction, and outdoors meets inspiration. The service boasts purpose-built spaces fully aligned with the EYLF, offering endless resources for genuine play and sensory discovery.


The Role

As an Assistant Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving high-quality standards and ensuring consistent pedagogical practice across the entire team.
  • Inspiring and mentoring a team of Teachers and Educators, fostering a collaborative partnership focused on delivering exceptional care and educational outcomes.
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day running and administration of the centre.
  • Strategically analysing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify growth areas and drive service improvement.
  • Fostering a constructive and engaging team environment that values respect and collaboration.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills and have the ability to contribute effectively to a team environment by providing support to all staff as required.

About You

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Diploma or Bachelors of Early Childhood Education OR ACECQA-approved
  • Minimum 2-3 years prior experience
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Manager
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Recent Child Protection/Safeguarding training
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and QIP
  • Unrestricted working hours
